ABOUT ME
Rosalyn Allen, M.S. (Teaching), M.S. (Counseling)
Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Nutrition Coach
I began my career in education teaching life and consumer science courses to middle and high school students. I covered a wide range of life skills topics, some of which were health, wellness, and nutrition. During this time, I also taught food preparation classes. My desire to connect with and support individuals on their paths to making positive changes in their lives inspired me to pursue additional training in counseling.
My interest in health and well-being is rooted in my own personal journey. After a series of life challenges, I found myself in a not-so-healthy place, both mentally and physically. I searched for things that could help me regain the confidence that I had lost. I attended classes, boot camps, gyms, worked with personal trainers and even tried to go it alone. I discovered that I enjoyed cardio activities and was elated as the numbers on the scale started going down. However, I wanted to transform my body even more, so I started a strength training routine with a personal trainer. Not long after that, I competed in my first body-building competition. As an introvert, this was a huge step for me!
Although I eventually achieved many of the goals I set for myself, as I reflect on my journey, I felt like something was missing. Yes, I pieced together a plan for myself over the years, but when I think of all of the time, energy, resources, emotional ups and downs, stops and starts, that I went through, I realized that a comprehensive program that included food, activity, personal accountability measures and education in a supportive, non-threatening environment, would have made a huge difference. The next phase of my career became clear to me.
I became a certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach to help clients of all fitness levels realize their potential while reaching their fitness and wellness goals. I “meet my clients where they are” by providing an environment of positivity, utilizing evidence-based training and coaching methods that are attainable, sustainable and can fit into their lifestyle and easily become a way of life. No matter where you start you can finish as a confident individual who is proud of what you see when you look in the mirror.

“Great things are done by a series of small things brought together”
